But light can also be therapeutic, it can be supernatural and inexplicable as well as it can be calculated and adapted to perfection, based on the mission it has been given. In recent years, the field of lighting has been revolutionized by new technologies, scientific insights and an increased awareness of environmental issues. The possibilities have skyrocketed and so has the complexity.

For us, the people working in and with the Mono Light Lab, light is a science just as important as many others. Light is what Mono work with and live for. We have our roots and home base in Gnosjö, Småland. We are a product of the place, the tradition and the craftsmanship that this Swedish industrial history brings. At the same time, we have the whole world as our workplace. The history is what has built and developed us, new technology is what moves us, no matter where it is located.

Mono sets out to help architects, designers and byers to get an overall view. We offer lighting solutions that combine contemporary design and new technologies with cost-effectiveness and long-term functionality. We believe that the very best products are developed in collaboration between different people with different point of views. Mono wants to develop new lightings solutions together with our clients.

Our history comes from solid materials such as iron, cement and bricks. Materials that have built this region, our industry and the Mono brand. We love to mix classic materials like that with the most modern ones, to create lamps and lighting that both surprises and feels given, at the same time.
